About Koch Rajbongshi Development Council (KRDC)
The Koch Rajbongshi Development Council (KRDC) is constituted by the Government of Assam to promote the overall socio-economic, educational, and cultural development of the Koch Rajbongshi community in the state.
The Council was established to address community-specific development needs through focused planning and targeted interventions, ensuring inclusive growth and equitable access to government welfare and development programmes.
KRDC works towards the upliftment and empowerment of Koch Rajbongshi youths by implementing targeted initiatives in the areas of education, skill development, livelihood generation, capacity building, and cultural preservation. A key focus of the Council is to create equitable access to opportunities, particularly for students and youths from rural and economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
